Lane, Dillard

Connie Raye Dillard and Larry Paul Lane, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, May 26, 2001, at State Boulevard Baptist Church with the Rev. Sephus Garrett officiating.
Parents of the couple are Sylvia Hitt, Ray Dillard and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lane, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Suzette Rucker Mayo, the late Ed Rucker and the late the Rev. and Mrs. C.S. Dillard.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Arron and Katie McMahon, and the late Harry and Grace Lane.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Lorrea McElroy, pianist; and Martha Stuart, soloist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her gown featured a white matte satin bodice with a scoop neckline and cap sleeves. The A-line skirt of white organza over matte satin fell from a band of pearls and was accented with a chapel-length train. Her fingertip-length veil of illusion fell from a crown of pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses.
Deanna Herring of Meridian attended her sister as maid of honor. Rachel Lane of Meridian, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Ushers were Joey Gibson, nephew of the bride, Eddie Gibson, brother of the bride, Greg Lane and Jeff Lane, brother's of the bridegroom, and Matthew Lane, nephew of the bridegroom, all of Meridian.
Nathan Gibson of Meridian, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Bubble attendants were Brantley Smith, niece of the bride, and Ashley McMullan, niece of the bridegroom.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony. Assisting were Nena Gibson, Brandy Hill, Suzie Gibson and Lisa Evans.
The couple resides in Meridian.
