    BROOKS, PRIEBE

    By Staff
Allison Louise Priebe and Michael Stafford Brooks were married Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in an early evening ceremony at St. John's Church, Lafayette Square, Washington, D.C. The Rev. Dr. Luis Leon conducted the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Victor Priebe of Springfield, Va. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ted Everett McClain of Paris, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Victor Hugo Priebe of Enid, Okla.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Ralph Brooks of Meridian. He is the grandson of the Rev. and Mrs. Robert Minor Matheny of Meridian and the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Augustus Brooks of Hernando.
Presented in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a Christian Dior-style formal gown of ivory matte satin and guipure lace. The lace bodice had a square neckline with full-length sleeves and the pleated skirt extended into a chapel-length train.
The bride carried a bouquet with both Virginia and fall-colored roses, berries, fallen oak leaves and calla lilies tied with double-faced satin ribbon. She also carried the bridal handkerchief carried by five generations of women in her family.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her cousin Michelle Arnold Bogan. Bridesmaids were Molly Craig Austin, Cara Herger, Amy Lou Mantooth, Blakeslee Ann Potter and Susan Elizabeth Reynolds. They wore mocha satin A-line gowns with cap sleeves.
Honor attendants were Megan Erin Mooney and Sarah Beth Elkins.
Flower girl was Holly Linville, granddaughter of the bride's godparents.
Phillip Jason Brooks served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were John Christopher Bounds; Kristopher Michael Dickson; Justin Lee Mattheny, cousin of the bridegroom; Louis Bradley Priebe, brother of the bride; and David Whitmire Waide. Ushers were Ryan Beckett, Hector Benitez Solivan and Landon Huey.
A reception and seated dinner were held at Mount Vernon Inn on George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the bridegroom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Sequoi Restaurant, along the Potomac River in Georgetown.
The couple honeymooned in the rainforests and on the coast of Costa Rico.
They reside in Washington, where the bride is employed by Sen. Max Cleland and is a freelance television reporter. The bridegroom is a recent graduate of George Washington School of Law and an attorney with the Center for Auto Safety.
    CARTEE, EUBANKS
Victoria Lynn Eubanks of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Wayne David Cartee of Pensacola were married Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze with the Rev. Jay Wolf officiating.
Parents of the couple are Capt. and Mrs. Mark Eubanks of Gulf Breeze and Dr. and Mrs. Wayne Cartee of Pensacola.
Grandparents of the bride are Donnie Faulkner of Meridian and the late Earl Faulkner.
Nuptial music was provided by Joe Gilstrap, organist; Shirley Wise, pianist; Jimmy Crane, uncle of the bride, violinist; Jay Crane, cousin of the bride, soloist; and Brennen Holcomb, soloist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of Duchess white satin with a wide band above the bustline decorated with crystals, rocals and seed pearls. The straps were adorned the same. The modified empire waistline featured a cut-in banding that flowed from the front, down to a streamlined back that met the border of the chapel-length train. The banding, hemline and train were trimmed with the same motif as the bustline and straps.
For her headpiece, the bride wore a shoulder-length veil that was worn by her sister-in-law on her wedding day.
Amy Dean of Los Angeles attended the bride as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brittany Dabbs Eubanks of West Palm Beach, sister-in-law of the bride; Stephanie Cartee of Atlanta, sister of the bridegroom; Kara Robinson and Berrilyn Martin, both of Jacksonville, Fla.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Claude Cartee of Pace, Fla., uncle of the bridegroom; Mark Eubanks Jr., brother of the bride, Paul Schneider and Tom Atwood, all of Charlotte, N.C.; Chris Odom of Athens, Ga.; and Rick Danish and Joe Campus, both of Pensacola.
Program attendants were Abby Crane, Regan Aycock, Anna Aycock and Alexa Crane, all of Meridian.
A reception was held at New World Landing following the ceremony.
