Tammy Lynn Ward

Tammy Lynn Ward, 56, of Spruce Pine, passed away Feb. 12 at Terrace Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Tammy worked as a barber in the Russellville area for the last 35 years. She had so many customers who loved her and always depended on her.  She was an outdoor girl. She loved hunting, fishing, hunting arrowheads and collecting rocks.  She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

A graveside service took place Feb. 14 at Grissom Cemetery (Quinn Memorial) in Spruce Pine with Bro. Lonnie Oldag officiating.

She is survived by her mother, Linda Dill Graham; sister, Melody Pearson (Stuart); nephew, Phillip W. Pearson; niece, Maddie M. Pearson; and a host of friends who love her very much.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Ward.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of North Alabama Hospice and Terrace Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation for your love and care. We also want to thank Tammy’s close friends, Michael Sumeral, Angie Oliver and Farrah Frederick for their many acts of kindness, visits and prayers you gave to Tammy during this time.
