June 6-8 — “Annie” at the Roxy: The Franklin County Arts and Humanities Council will present the musical “Annie” June 6-8 at the Historic Roxy Theatre in downtown Russellville. Tickets may be available at the door on the evening of the performance, starting at 6 p.m. The show will start at 7 p.m. on June 6-7, and at 2 p.m. on June 8. Tickets cost $15. The show features the well-known “Little Orphan Annie,” who charms hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York. The Franklin County Department of Human Resources will receive $20 of the monetary donation of sponsors and 10% of ticket sales to go to foster children in Franklin County. Vacation Bible School at Siloam Baptist Church:
Located at 1657 Highway 60 in Russellville, registration kicks off June 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. with inflatables and snowcones. Vacation Bible School includes classes for ages two through adult, along with meals, each night, June 9-11, from 6 to 8:15 p.m.

June 20-21 – Phil Campbell Festival July 4 – Jam on Sloss Lake July 19 – Franklin County Watermelon Pageant: The Franklin County Watermelon Pageant takes place July 19 in the Russellville City Schools auditorium. The deadline to register is June 19 at 4 p.m. Applications are open, and the registration fee is $50. That includes a photograph. Queens will be presented at the opening ceremony of the Watermelon Festival on Aug. 15.

American Legion
American Legion Post 64 regularly meets the second Thursday of every month at the North Highlands Church of Christ fellowship hall with the meal at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting at 7 p.m.

Every Monday from 10 a.m. to noon, Good Shepherd Catholic Outreach has an outreach program to help those in need of food, clothing and partial bill assistance. Stop by Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1700 N. Jackson Ave., Russellville, at that time to seek any assistance needed.
Grief Support Group

“Getting Well Together,” a grief support group, will meet at 10 a.m. each month on the third Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church in Russellville.
