Legion Post 64 baseball teams remain unbeaten

The varsity and junior varsity American Legion Post 64-sponsored baseball teams recently took the field and both remained undefeated during summer league play.

Russellville High School was the scene for a varsity game July 14, with Post 64 taking a 7-4 win over the Post 229 Madison Mayhem team.

July 20 the Post 64 team improved its record to 4-0 with a wild 18-17 home victory over Huntsville Post 237.

Post 64 varsity swept a couple of games earlier in the season versus Haleyville Post 33 and has outscored opponents by a 48-22 run total.

The Post 64 JV players took a 9-6 road win over the Post 229 Madison Missiles July 14 to improve their record to 3-0.  Post 64 JV has outscored opponents by a total of 47-9.
