Red Bay Salutatorian: Taylor Cash

Being named Red Bay High School Class of 2017 salutatorian was an exciting achievement for Taylor Cash. “It’s a confirmation of all the work you put in,” she explained. “I know working hard and getting that kind of position is another way that allows me to move further in life.”

Cash, who is a lifelong Red Bay Tiger, said she is looking forward to college, although she hasn’t settled on exactly what college yet. She plans to major in graphic design/digital art illustration and minor in technical theatre. “Graphic design is something I’ve been doing my entire life,” she said. “It’s the jobs field with the highest demand in the arts.” She has aspirations to intern at Google and then break into the concept art/illustration field.

Robotics, FFA, marching band, English Club, Science Club and Beta Club have been Cash’s areas of involvement during her years at Red Bay.

Cash said her fondest memories from Red Bay will surround people with whom she has built a close bound, both classmates and teachers alike. “I wouldn’t be anywhere without the friends I’ve made here.”

Cash is the daughter of Gregory Cash and Rhonda Farris.
