William Harold Mitchell
William Harold Mitchell, 74, of Russellville, went to be with his Lord Jan. 27 at 10:25 p.m. at MD Anderson Cancer Treatment Houston, Texas, after a long struggle with lung cancer surrounded by his family. He worked for the Russellville City School System for many years and was loved by so many.
He is preceded in death by his wife Reba Mae Simpson, father Lewis Mitchell, mother Bessie Fuller and brother (Junior Mitchell). He leaves behind a beloved son Donnie Ray Mitchell and wife Charollette of Russellville, daughter Lisa Gail Whittington and husband Sane from Humble, Texas, and his sister Norma Jean Dukemenier, Good Hope. He has three grandchildren: Austin Whittington, Samantha Whittington from Humble, Texas, and J.T. Whittington, U.S. Army, currently serving in South Korea; and two step grandchildren: Marty and Bethany Fisher. Visitation will be at Spry Funeral Home Feb. 1 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be Feb. 2 at 1 p.m., and burial will follow at Franklin Memory Gardens with Pastor Roger Jones officiating the service.
