Franklin County man charged with capital murder in toddler death

A mother and boyfriend are reported to be in custody following the death of a 22-month-old.

Details are still emerging about this crime, but authorities indicate the woman, Hailey Renfroe, is being charged with aggravated child abuse, while the man, Shannon Gargis, is being charged with capital murder.

In an early afternoon bond hearing, Gargis  was denied bond. He will be held in the Franklin County Jail.

Bond has not yet been set for Renfroe.
