Update: Missing person found

An East Franklin man was located Wednesday morning after being missing since Monday.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday the search for Jerry Cotham, 78, who was reported missing Feb. 8.

Cotham was located in Rome, Ga. He was walking after having wrecked his truck in a ditch.

Cotham was driving a gray 2008 Ford F150 extended cab pickup when he went missing.

Cotham was reported to be unharmed but was transported to a local hospital as a precaution. Family stated Cotham has mild dementia.

The FCSO thanked the public for assistance in locating Cotham.
