Made in Franklin accepts applications for vendors, sponsors

Made in Franklin, an event designed to encourage current students to consider a vocational trade for their future, is now taking applications for industries that wish to set up a booth at the event, as well as companies that would like to support the event as sponsors.

According to information provided by the Franklin County Development Authority, Made in Franklin is an opportunity to bring industry and education together in an expo-style event to showcase companies, their products and the skills needed to be employed at those companies.

“Industries need a trained or trainable workforce, and students need an opportunity to learn what careers are available to them,” explained the FCDA. “By providing products and hands-on items and activities for the students, they can learn how important science, technology, engineering and math are to them.”

Deadline to sign up to participate or sponsor is Oct. 13.
