Mary Aurellia Bowling, 67, Russellville, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at ECM Hospital.

Mary was a charter member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church where she was very active in her church taking care of the flowers. She worked at Southern Rural Health Care. She loved her Auburn tigers, her flowers, especially roses, reading, and spending time with her great-nieces and nephews. In memory of Mary, please plant a rose to remember her by.

The visitation and rosary service were on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Russellville. Officiating at the service will be Father Jim Hedderman. Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.

She is survived by her sister, Kaye Hillis  and husband, Preston, of Florence; sister-in-law, Alma Bowling, of Russellville; nephews, Jeff Bowling and wife, Nancy, of Russellville, Patrick Hillis and wife, Mary Elizabeth, of Decatur, Robbie Hillis and wife, Misty, of Florence; great-nieces and nephews, Mary Kate and Mac Hillis, of Decatur, Ben and Lydia Hillis, of Florence; loving aunts and uncles; special cousins; and very special friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, Nevon & Stella Bowling; brother, Tim Bowling; and great-niece, Amelia Hillis.

The pallbearers will be Dale Montgomery, Garry Bowling, Denzel Martin, Ken Bowling, Don Bowling, David Bowling, Greg Bowling, and Mark Newton. The honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Lyman Mitchell, Jr., Dr. Felix Morris, Dr. Theresa Lango, Dr. Edsel Holden, and Dr. Rao Boorgu.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful, loving nurses at ECM Hospital, especially the ICU and 3rd floor.
