Lady Bobcats beat Lady Flame

J.R. Tidwell/FCT Madison Hardy (10) looks for an open teammate against Shoals Christian Tuesday night.

The Lady Bobcats defeated the Shoals Christian Lady Flame 54-38 Tuesday night at Northwest Shoals on senior night.

The game was pretty close early on, but the Lady Bobcats took over in the second half.

“That makes four wins in a row,” Phil Campbell head coach Darit Riddle said. “We are playing our best ball right now, and that’s what we were trying to do.”

The game was tied at 10-10 with two minutes remaining in the first quarter. Phil Campbell went on a 6-2 run to finish the first with a 16-12 advantage.

Shoals Christian did not score again until after the midpoint of the second quarter, allowing the Lady Bobcats to go up 25-17 at intermission.

The contest became lopsided in the second half, as Phil Campbell began firing on all cylinders. The Lady Bobcats turned a 43-25 lead at the end of three into a 16-point win.

“Everything is clicking for us right now,” Riddle said. “This was a good win on senior night.”
