Gerstil Lee Ledbetter, 93, of Red Bay, Ala. passed away on Dec. 13, 2010 at Generations of Red Bay.  He was born February 21, 1917 in Franklin County, Ala.  He retired as a Quality Control Inspector from Sunshine Homes.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Red Bay and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay, Ala. with Bro. Larry Hill officiating.  Burial was in Red Bay City Cemetery.

He is survived by three sons, Ronnie Ledbetter, of Tuscumbia, Ala., Michael Ledbetter and wife, Janet, of Highland, Ill. and Keith Ledbetter, of Red Bay, Ala.; three grandchildren, Tim Ledbetter, Janna Ledbetter (John) and Ash Ledbetter (Hillary); four great-grandchildren, Logan, Anna, Bethany and Clara.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Melton Ledbetter; his parents, Jake and Nora Hughes Ledbetter; three brothers, Dolphus Ledbetter, Joe “Dude” Ledbetter and Jake Ledbetter; and three sisters, Gertha Ledbetter, Gertrude York and Ivadean Wiggington.
