Doyle Ray Crowder, 73, of Red Bay, passed away Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 in Waukegan, Ill. He was born August 3, 1937 in Itawamba County, Miss. to Marvin & Mary Crowder.

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 27, 2010 at The Church of God of Prophecy in Red Bay, Ala. with Pastor Jerome Key and Pastor John Davis officiating. Entombment was at Franklin Memory Gardens in Russellville, Ala.  Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay assisted the family.

He is survived by his wife, Elois Carnes Crowder; three children, Terry Crowder and wife, Kim, Tammy Poss and husband, Andy and Tracy Crowder and wife, Kim; five sisters, Willard Brown, Wilma Funderburk, Audrey Watts, Verlon Culver and Eleanor McCollister; twelve grandchildren, Aryk Crowder, Derick Crowder and wife, Sonya, Hollee Elam and husband, Aaron, Dustin Mitchell, Nick Mitchell, Wesley Garbutt, Alexandra Garbutt, Kristi Poss, Kayla Poss, Whitney Lemm, Garret Holley and Sheridan Crowder; two great-grandchildren, Rowen Crowder and Cayden Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Tom Crowder and Eldridge Crowder; his in-laws, Clois Willis, Curtis Culver, Ed Watts, Cecil Funderburk; his wife’s parents, Fray and Inez Carnes; and his brother-in-law, Euel Carnes.
