Time to pay business licenses

County and state business licenses for 2010 – 2011 are due between Oct. 1 and Oct. 31, 2010.

According to officials in the probate judge’s office, all new businesses that have not been issued a state and county business license along with a city business license are required by law to have both county and city licenses if the business is inside the city limits.

All existing business licenses are due to be renewed during this time period as well. Delinquent fees will be applied Nov. 1, 2010.

The probate office requests that these licenses be renewed in early October to be sure to avoid delinquent fees.
