James Arvle Lovvorn, 84, of Russellville passed away Sunday, Sept.19, 2010 at home after an extended illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents R.D. and Lucy Lovvorn; sister, Mable Mohler; son-in law, Raymond Sanders; sister-in-law, Berdina Lovvorn.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Maxine Lovvorn, of Russellville; daughters, Suzie Sanders, of Oxford, Ind., Mary Jane Foster and husband, Jim, of Delphi, Ind., Deanna Bandy and husband, Woody, of Indianapolis, Ind., Sally Yeoman and husband, Butch, of Indianapolis, Ind.; sons, Mike Lovvorn, of Russellville, Ala., Jim Lovvorn and wife, Debbie, of Lafayette, Ind., Alan Lovvorn, of Lafayette, Ind.; brothers, Aaron Lovvorn and wife Hazel, of Michigan City, Ind., Travis Lovvorn and wife, Maxine, of Delphi, Ind.; sister, Christene Lawson and husband, Gene, of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Jerry Hester and Lloyd Griffus officiating. Burial will follow in Orange Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
The family would like to thank Dr. McCoy, Ruby, Valarie, Cindy and all the workers at Southern Care Hospice that have helped our family through this difficult time.
