Juanita Fretwell Glasgow, 79, of Russellville died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Helen Keller Hospital. 

The visitation will be held at Akins Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 21, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; the 2 p.m. funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, July 22, 2010 with Bro. Keith Prince and Bro. A.H. Akins officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Glasgow, Dewayne Smith, Jimmy Glasgow, Tommy Glasgow, Mike Akins, Johnny Brown, and Ronnie Sweda; honorary pallbearers will be Mark Akins, Edwin Fretwell, Ray Vickery and Robert Glasgow, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. George and Berenice Fretwell; sisters, Allyne Akins and Racine Akins.

She is survived by her husband, Ross Glasgow; daughter, Angie Dewberry and husband, Ronnie, of Muscle Shoals; son, Ross Sonny Glasgow, Jr., of Russellville; grandchildren, Dayna Willis (Jody), of Muscle Shoals, Dara Dewberry, of Tuscaloosa, Shayna Glasgow and Kyle Glasgow, of Russellville; great- grandchildren, Lauren and Caden Willis, of Muscle Shoals.

She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

The family extends a their thanks to Dr. Brad McAnalley and staff, Dana and Judy, Southern Care Hospice staff, Rashonda, Tammy, Roseanne and Ruby, Bro. Keith Prince, Bro. H. Akins, Bro. Wesley Wade, Gail Seale, Janice and Dewayne Smith and the staff at HeadsUp.
