Charlie Young

Charlie Mae Young, 65, of Russellville, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Red Bay Hospital. She was born October 12, 1944 in Golden, Miss.  to Hollis and  Delila Charlene Stanphill Higginbottom. She was formerly an employee of wWrangler.

Memorial services were held Friday, May 28, 2010 at  Deaton Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Thorn officiating

She is survived by husband, Lloyd Young of Tuscumbia; children, Carol Sue Hough and husband, James, of Cresent City, Calif.; James Edward Newell of Russellville, Norman Lee Newell and Rebecca Lynn Rivas and husband, Domingo, all of Winters, Calif.; step-children, Melissa Staples and Felicia Young, both of Tuscumbia; sisters, Dorothy Jean Russell of Cherokee, Nellie Sue Sappington of Selmer, Tenn., Eva Wiginton of Dennis, Miss. and Sanna Jo Cadillo of Iuka, Miss.; brothers, Hollis Higginbottom Jr. of Iuka, Cleston Hue Higginbottom of Vina, and Harold Wayne Higginbottom of Morgan Hills, Calif.; aunt, Ollie Mae Wigginton of Belmont, Miss.; and eight grandchildren, Stephanie, Norman, Jeffrey, Capri, Domingo, Dillan, Ethan and Solitare.

She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Karen Mae “Poochie” Newell.
