Anne C. Rogers, 83, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Shoals Hospital.

Mrs. Rogers was a native of Marion County but had lived in Russellville for the past 67 years.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, Russellville, a graduate of Auburn University and a retired teacher from the Russellville City Schools.

The funeral service will be Friday, April 16, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church, Russellville, with Richard Parker and Barry Holcomb officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday.  Burial will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Russellville.

She is survived by daughter, Dianne Rogers Barnes and husband, Ed, Marietta, Ga.; son, Robert I. (Bob) Rogers, Jr. and wife, Jama, Russellville; brother, William C. Campbell, Florence; grandchildren, Kitty Rogers Brown, Birmingham, Ike Rogers, Russellville, Anna Barnes and Ward Barnes, both of Marietta, Ga.; three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Bowling, Gene Ellison, Joe Porter, John McReynolds, Robert Cooper, and Brad Reeves.

She was preceded in death by husband, Robert I. (Buddy) Rogers; parents, McKinley and Elvena Howard Campbell; five sisters and one great-granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to There’s A Way, Inc. Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 279, Russellville, Alabama  35653.
