Banquet honors those who work hard to better area

The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and the Franklin County Development Authority honored 16 people and businesses Thursday night at the Third Annual Partnership Awards Banquet.

The award winners were decided from a field of 37 candidates who have helped to make Franklin County a better place to live.

Working hard to accomplish goals is rewarding enough, but when an outside source recognizes those efforts in a public forum, it is great reinforcement to keep doing a great job.

With Franklin County facing a tough battle, brought along by the recession, it needs as many people as possible working hard to find solutions to keep the county thriving.

Nothing helps an area thrive like community spirit, and nothing fosters community spirit more than that community recognizing you for hard work to improve the place you live.
