A Franklin County man was taken into custody Thursday for allegedly making a terroristic threat with a pipe bomb.
Franklin County Sheriff's office investigators said Neil Larkins, 29, of 4635 Gravel Hill Road in Phil Campbell has been charged with making a terroristic threat and violation of probation, both considered felony charges.
Authorities said Larkins arrived at Town and Country mobile home Park telling residents that he had a bomb.
Investigators said Larkins knew a couple of people who lived in the park and arrived armed with two four-inch cylinders with fuses coming out both ends.
Officials said Larkins appeared to be under the influence of some type of drug.
The Franklin County Sheriff's office called in ABI and two bomb techs from the Florence police department's bomb squad for support during the investigation.
