Sula Ann Taylor, 63, of Russellville passed away on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010 at Helen Keller Hospital.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 18, 2010 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Dennis Steward and Bro. Jeff Fleming officiating. Burial was in Jonesboro Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Percy Taylor, Jr.; parents, William Fred and Flora Mae Welch Broadway; sisters, Annette Broadway, Lillie Mae Keplinger; and granddaughter, Angel Bratcher.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Pounders and husband, Earl, Regina Bratcher and husband, Danny, and Tabitha Garrett and husband, Terry; sisters, Ida McClemore, Fay Black; brothers, Truman Broadway and wife, Barbara, and Troy Broadway; grandchildren, Heather Pounders, Kyle Pounders, Jonathan Garrett, Joshua Garrett and Hanna Bratcher; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Edward Fransis Richard

Edward Fransis Richard, 71, of Russellville passed away on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at Russellville Hospital.
The memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010 at Spry Memorial Chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Richard; daughter, Cheryl Shelly; sons, Michael, John and Ray; son-in-law, Larry; sisters, Barbara, Joany, and Nancy; brothers, Paul and Bob; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and ten nieces and nephews.
Brandon Chadwick Knight

Brandon Chadwick Knight, 33, of Jasper, Ala., formerly of Haleyville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010 at 7 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville with Dale Hubbard and Andy Kizer officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny Guthrie Knight; son, Alex Knight; parents, Greg Knight and Janie and Paul Lisieski; brothers, Craig Knight and wife, Leisa and Justin Knight and wife, Wendy; grandmother; Ethelene Teas; step sister, Amy Lisieski; nephews, Lee Knight, Brandon Knight, Hunter Knight and Sailor Knight; and niece, Emily Ruark.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret and Eugene Knight; grandfather, Robert Green; step-grandfather, Clyde Teas; sister, Brandy Knight; uncle, Randy Green.
In lieu of flowers make contributions to the trust fund for Chad’s son Alex Knight at any Traders and Farmers Bank.
Silvie Trapp

Silvie Trapp, 90, of Phil Campbell passed away on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010 at Terrace Manor Nursing Home.
The visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21 at Akins Funeral Home. The 2 p.m. funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 22 at Pleasant Hill FCM Church. He will lie-in-state for one hour prior the service. Bro. David Phillips and Bo Weeks will officiate. Interment will be in East Franklin Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Cooper Trapp; parents, Charles and Lillie Mae Cain Trapp; sisters, Verla Elliott, Lura Williams and Arcula “Mutt” Brooks.
He is survived by his children, Rondel Trapp and wife, Sue, Paulette Glaze and husband, Wayne, Sandra Kimbrough and husband, Rev. Kenneth, and Pam Baker and husband, Rickie; siblings, Autrilla “Dute” Crumpton, Dean Crumpton, Jean Hutcheson, Gwendolyn Colburn, Rayan Trapp; grandchildren, Susan Higginbotham, Ellen Trapp, Bradley Trapp, Paula Pope, Kendal Smith, Grayson Glaze, Amy Ray, Curtis Kimbrough, Megan Harper, Tyler Baker; twenty great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephew; special friend, Audry “Bo” Weeks.
Nelson Cooper

Nelson Cooper, 88, of Tuscumbia, Ala., passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham.
Mr. Cooper was a native of Winston County, Ala. but had lived most of his life in Franklin County. He was a member of Russellville First United Methodist Church, Franklin County VFW, and a World War II Army veteran. He established Cooper Glass &Body Shop in 1953.
Funeral services were held Jan. 18, 2010 at First United Methodist Church in Russellville with Rev. Alan Beasley and Rev. Clint Busler officiating. Burial was in Franklin Memory Gardens. Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville assisted the family.
He is survived by his children, Randy Cooper and wife, Nancy and Nanette Mayfield and husband, Terry, both of Littleville; brother, Darold Cooper and wife, Jane Ann, of Littleville; sisters, Lorene Rogers, of Tuscumbia and Leatrice Horton, of Russellville; grandchildren, Charlotte Millard and husband, John, Amy Cooper and fianc/, Chris Buchanan, and Janan Cochran; special friend, Ruth McAlister; a host of nieces, nephews and two uncles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cloma Lee Cooper; parents, Wylie and Mary Cooper; infant son, James Harold Cooper; brother, Calvin Cooper; sister, Iva Mae Mayfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, First United Methodist Church, Russellville, or The Healing Place.
