With much of the country experiencing some of the coldest temperatures in years, the county is fortunate to have hard workers and strong leaders stepping up to make decisions regarding residents’ safety.
Both school systems announced Wednesday that they would close ahead of Thursday’s anticipated snow.
When considering the safety of so many people, it always seems better to stand on the side of caution.
Roy Gober and his EMA staff also work closely with local school and county officials to make sure everyone has the same information at hand and are prepared to make necessary decisions.
To all of you who look out for us, many thanks.
