Dream Center feeds families in need this year

Russellville Dreamcenter adhered to the call Saturday as they offered one free meal to struggling families who could not afford a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
Before noon Saturday people began to line the streets down to Coffee Avenue from the old Coca-Cola bottling plant in downtown. Families came in and filled out applications, qualifying them to receive the free meal.
Dreamcenter director Shawn Reathford said the ministry fed 347 families.
Around 14,000 pounds of food was given out to families who “do not have as much as some people do.”
Backstreet Catering and Florence churches joined in the fight to feed the hungry.
The Dreamcenter believes this event was so beneficial to the community, they plan on having it again this year.
The biggest problem for the Dreamcenter is a lack of help.
