Officials with the Franklin County Sheriff's Department uncovered numerous methamphetamine labs at a Russellville home Monday afternoon.
Franklin County Sheriff Larry Plott said five individuals were taken into custody and charged with first-degree manufacturing a controlled substance.
"We found 15 to 20 garbage bags filled with chemicals, mixed chemicals, and other items used to make meth," Plott said.
Plott said 15 two-liter meth labs were found at 488 Oak Hill Drive in Russellville.
Those arrested and charged in the case include Shane Kimbrell, 22, of 400 Oak Hill Drive in Russellville; Gary Edgar "Bubba" Branch, 29, of 201 Engle Plaza in Russellville; James McKinley Smith, 18, of 81 Oak Hill Drive in Russellville; Jessica Nicole Crane, 16, of 488 Oak Hill Drive in Russellville; and Tyler Blake Kimbrell, 17, of 488 Oak Hill Drive in Russellville.
According to the Alabama Criminal Code, first-degree manufacturing a controlled substance is a Class A felony, which carries a punishment of 10 years to life in prison upon conviction.
Franklin County District Attorney Joey Rushing said that Tyler Kimbrell and Crane are being charged as adults in the case.
Plott said Tyler Kimbrell was released on a $7,500 bond while the other defendants remain in the Franklin County Detention Center pending bond.
