James Clifton Welborn

James Clifton Welborn, 71, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, at Russellville Hospital after an extended illness.
He was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church and Phil Campbell Masonic Lodge No. 880. He was a retired truck driver who loved Alabama football, golf, playing music and fishing.
Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 30 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville. The funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel at 3 p.m. with Bro. Jerome Sherrill officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Methodist Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Mark Welborn and wife Pam, Gary Welborn and wife Ann and Darren Welborn and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Alanna Posey, Kyle Welborn, Lane Welborn, Karley Welborn and Macey Welborn; mother, Goldie Welborn; brother, Arlin Hugh Welborn; sister, Willadean Counts; several nieces and nephews; and special uncle, Ed Welborn.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton Welborn.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Russellville Hospital and its ICU staff.

Samantha A. Pruitt

Samantha A. Pruitt, 40, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at Russellville Hospital.
The graveside service was held Thursday, Nov. 27 at Knights of Pythias Cemetery with Bro. Charles Maples officiating.
She is survived by her mother, Nelda Pruitt, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Pruitt, and sister, Alicia Bryant.
Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville assisted the family.
Gregory O. Massey

Gregory O'Neal Massey, 42, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at ECM Hospital.
He lived his entire life in Russellville and was formerly a salesperson at Advanced Auto Parts in Russellville.
Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 29 at 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel with Carl Gaston officiating. Burial will be in Dempsey Cemetery in Russellville.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Massey; parents, Jerry and Martha Massey of Russellville; brothers and sisters, Marilyn Logan and husband David, Mike Massey and wife Jane, and Joey Massey, all of Russellville; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Hooch.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Matthew T. and Lou Ella Massey, and William and Opal Beem.
Pallbearers were his friends.
A special thanks to Dr. Kuberg, the staff of Russellville Hospital, and also Dr. Haggstrom and the staff of ECM Hospital.
Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville assisted the family.

Alice Blanch Norris, 77, of Village Square Apartments, Russellville, Ala., passed away Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at Russellville Hospital.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008 at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
Spry Memorial Chapel of Russellville assisted the family.
