Full slate of basketball action tonight

Several area basketball teams will be in action tonight, with two county teams facing region foes and two other teams squaring off against each other.
Tharptown will host Phillips in a Class 1A, Area 15 showdown. The Lady Wildcats (1-1) will try to claim their first area win of the season while the boys team will try to beat the team favored to win the area title.
In other 1A, Area 15 action, Vina hosts Mount Hope. It will be the third-consecutive area game for Vina, which will not play a non-area foe until Monday.
The boys team (1-1) will be trying to rebound from a 64-41 loss to Phillips earlier this week. The girls team, which has lost to Belgreen and Phillips, is playing for its first win of the season.
In non-area action, Phil Campbell will travel to Belgreen for a county-rival contest.
The Belgreen girls are attempting to stay undefeated while the Lady Bobcats will either be trying to improve to 3-1 or 2-2 – their game against Shoals Christian ended too late to be included in today's edition of The Franklin County Times.
In boys action, the Bulldogs will continue the rebuilding process under new coach Dan Bell.
The Bobcats opened their season 0-2 with losses to Phillips and Haleyville.
Russellville and Red Bay will not be in action tonight. The Russellville girls will not play again until Nov. 26 when they host the RHS Invitational and the Lady Tigers are not scheduled to play until Dec. 1 when they host Tharptown.
The Russellville boys will begin play Dec. 2 when they host Hartselle. The Red Bay boys will also be playing Tharptown Dec. 1.
