Sandra Fisher, 48, of Russellville passed away Friday, Sept. 19, 2008 at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield.
Funeral services were Sept. 22 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Buddy Ellington and Bro. Roger Bond officiating. Burial was in Ramsey-King Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Wood, and grandparents, Nelson and Clara Hutchins and Ester and Lorene Wood.
She is survived by her husband, Arlin Terrell Fisher of Russellville; children, Christopher Fisher of Russellville, Ashley (Jeff) Slatton of Tuscumbia and Jon Adam Fisher of Russellville; parents, Emma Jean and Preston Campbell of Littleville; sister, Ellen (Jimmy) Patrick of Russellville; four grandchildren; Aunt Judy Coates; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Aaron Shane Fisher, Lucas Cantrell, Marty Fisher, Freddy Pounders, Mardie Elbert Fisher and Mitchell Reynolds.
The family wishes to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Helen Keller Hospital for the compassionate, loving care given during her illness. Special thanks to longtime friend and co-worker Brenda Pounders.

Billie Jean Belew

Billie Jean Belew, 71, of Russellville passed away Friday, Sept. 19, 2008 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer with her family at her side.
Funeral services were Sept. 21 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Willard Templeman and Bro. A.G. Stepp officiating. Burial was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wylie and Zelma Sparks of Russellville.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Marlin Belew; sons, Jerry of Hamilton, Kenneth (Tracey) of Cherokee and Joe (Dr. Paula Belew) of Athens; daughter, Patricia (James Cooper) of Russellville; grandchildren, Brandi (Brian) Fox of St. Louis, Mo., Stephen (Kacie) Cooper of Memphis, Tenn., Jamie Cooper of Russellville, Kenny Belew of Madison, Lindsey Belew of Cherokee and Mathew Belew of Athens; great-grandchildren, Jack Cooper of Memphis, Alex Fox of St. Louis; sisters, Lucille Humphries of Russellville, Barbara Ann Skidmore of Russellville and Linda Underwood of Bethsadie; brothers, James L. Sparks of Florence and O'Neal Sparks of Russellville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Stephen Cooper, Jamie Cooper, Kenny Belew, Matthew Belew, Brian Fox and Elijah Hester.
She loved Crestview Baptist Church and its members. She was passionate about her family. She enjoyed reading, cooking, frying peach pies, playing pinochle and watching her hummingbirds.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hematology and Oncology Associates in Tupelo, Miss., Dr. Julian Hill, Martha, Cheryl and Bobbie. We would also like thank Dr. Anthony Kalliath and his staff at the Blood and Cancer Center in Florence and Linda Knight. Thanks to Cynthia Rollins and Hospice of the Shoals for the wonderful care you gave. Special thanks to Renay Hallman, Judy Miller and Sharmaine Fike.
