Two people are dead following a shooting Tuesday night in Russellville.
The incident took place shortly after 9 p.m. on Longleaf Lane, which is just off Duncan Creek Road.
Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said the department received a call concerning a domestic civil disturbance at 9:25 p.m.
When officers arrived at 60 Long Leaf Lane they found a male and female with gunshot wounds lying in the bathroom floor.
The male victim, Francisco "Frank" Alcides Linares Castro, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Miriam Martinez Castro, 23, later died at Russellville Hospital.
Investigators said they are uncertain if the couple was married at the time or separated and aren't quite sure who the first victim was.
It appears to be a murder-suicide, officials said.
"The initial finding is that they had been arguing on the telephone prior to the incident," Hargett said.
"Around 9 or 9:15 p.m., he returned home and the altercation continued, which led to the shootings."
Officials said autopsies will be performed on both victims.
Witnesses said that three children and a sibling to one of the victims were inside the home at the time of the shooting.
The children are in the care of family members at this time.
