Edith Mae Benefield Eudy, 84, of Haleyville passed away Aug. 24, 2008 at Lakeland Community Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Haleyville and attended Littleville United Methodist Church.
The funeral service was held Aug. 29 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville with Scott Ward officiating. Burial was in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her sister, Virginia Dale Benefield Bridges, and many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.J. "Dick" Eudy; daughters, Teresa Diane Eudy King and Carolyn Sue King; son, James Dan Eudy; mother, Esther Mae Davis Benefield; father, Alonzo Ovid Benefield; sisters, Imogene Benefield Godsey and Pauline Benefield Hood; and brother, Ovid Benefield Jr.
Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville assisted the family.
Connie L. McDonald

Connie L. McDonald, 95, passed away Aug. 27, 2008 at Helen Keller Hospital.
The funeral service was held Aug. 30 in the Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Ralton McCarley officiating. Interment will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Phil Campbell.
He is survived by his close friend, Martha Gargis; nieces, Lexie Swinney and Dess Stancil; and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Macie Lee Nix McDonald, and parents, Lit and Deelie McDonald.

William G. Hudson

William "German" Gaston Hudson, 78, of Hackleburg passed away Aug. 27, 2008 at Russellville Hospital. He was born June 5, 19830 in Marion County to Martin Hudson and Dovie Mitchell Hudson. He was a retired railroad welder.
The funeral service was held at Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church on Aug. 30 with Mike Frederick and Randal Tice officiating. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Earl Hudson; parents, Martin and Dove Hudson; and brothers, Bud Hudson and Jut Hudson.
He is survived by his wife, I.V. Hudson; children, Terry (Pam) Hudson, Gerald (Peggy) Hudson and Denise Carson, all of Hackleburg, Rocky (Cindy) Hudson of Texacana, Texas, and Jennifer (Johnny) Jones and Jessica (Andy) Stone of Haleyville; brother, Leburn Hudson of Hackleburg; sisters, Vauline Partian, Willodean Hudson and Millotine Davis, all of Hackleburg; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Hackleburg Funeral Home assisted the family.
Royce E. Rollins

Royce Edward Rollins, 57, of Hodges passed away Aug. 28, 2008.
The visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at Spry Memorial Chapel Sunday, Aug. 31. The 2 p.m. funeral service will follow at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Dewayne Satterwhite officiating. Interment will be in Old Line Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Black, Shannon Fleming, Derek Fleming, David Smith, Kenny Rollins and Daniel Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Royce and Dotsie Haithcock Rollins.
He is survived by his daughter, Jamie (Charlie) Lynch; son, Alex Green; granddaughters, Amber, Brooke, Aundrea and Allie Lynch; brother, Bob (Gloria) Rollins; sister, Deborah Smith (David Green), Shelia (James) Butler and Cynthia Rollins; and special friend, Betty Cochran.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of the Shoals.
