PPA Help is Here Express will help local residents
By Staff
The Partnership for Prescription Assistance's "Help is Here Express" will roll back into Franklin County next week.
The bus brings with it knowledgeable people who can help patients, care givers, social workers and medical professionals information on more than 400 prescription assistance programs including the 200 that are funded by pharmaceutical companies.
Last year the bus came and about 40 patients, social workers, and caregivers took advantage of the free help.
After numerous phone calls to get the bus back in Franklin County, it will roll in next Monday, Aug. 25 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Everyone who is struggling to get the medications should take advantage of this opportunity to get help.
Prescription medications are costly, and those without insurance are sometimes forced to choose between eating and getting medicine. This should not happen, and it doesn't have to.
There help out there. We hope everyone gets out and takes advantage of this opportunity.
