Gregory Keith Gandy, 53, of Russellville passed away Aug. 11, 2008 at Helen Keller Hospital.
Greg lived his entire life in Franklin County and attended Faith Church in Florence. He was employed by GUBMK Contractor for TVA with 20 years of service. He was a member of IBEW Local No. 558.
The funeral service was Aug. 13 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Tommy James and Steven Scott officiating. Burial was in Tharptown Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Fretwell Gandy; daughters, April Gandy Broome (Chip) and Ashley Gandy Thompson (K.T.); parents, Ralph and Ernestine Lewey Gandy; sisters, Brenda Gandy Hunt (Kreg) and Teresa Gandy Mitchell (Mike); grandsons, Simeon, Levi and Malachi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and co-workers.
Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville assisted the family.

John Allen James, 41, of Littleville passed away Aug. 12, 2008 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence.
Mr. James lived all his life in Franklin County and was a member of Concord Baptist Church. He was employed by Masonite Door Service with 22 years of service.
The funeral service will be Friday, Aug. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Raymond Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Creek Cemetery. Visitation was held Aug. 14 at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Ann James; children, Joshua Alan James, William Tyler James and McKenzie Paige James, all of Littleville; mother, Martha Allen of Russellville; brother, Jody Allen of Russellville; mother-in-law, Connie Lawson; father-in-law, William Earl Lawson; brother-in-law, Van (Elaine) Lawson; sisters-in-law, Sherry Mather (Tommy Young) and Cindy (Mike Kimbrough; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Blake Thomas, Jordan Hammond, Byron Bean, Nick Scott, Blake Hill and Anthony Sutter. Honorary pallbearers will be co-workers from the Masonite Door Company.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Allen James Sr. and grandparents, Hubert and Nellie Mae Mansell and Zollie and Otho James.
Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville is directing.

Opal Frances Williams Fisher, 79, of Russellville passed away Aug. 14, 2008 at Helen Keller Hospital.
The visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 16 from noon to 2 p.m. at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville with Bro. Roger Bond and Bro. Coye Marbutt officiating. Burial will follow in Ramsey-King Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mardie Elbert Fisher Sr.; parents, Arlin and Ida Williams; son-in-law, Wayne Head; and grandsons, Shane and Shawn Head.
She is survived by her children, Patricia (Leonard) Nix of Florence; Gail (Burt) Reynolds, Priscilla Head, Elbert (Kathleen) Fisher, Terrell (Sandra) Fisher, all of Russellville, and Teresa Darlene (Harold) Culbert of Decatur; sisters, Barbara Garrett of Russellville and Gladys Berryman of Trinity; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Kelvin Nix, Keith Nix, Mitchell Reynolds, Chris Fisher, Marty Fisher and Jon Adam Fisher.
Her children wish to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Helen Keller Hospital for the compassionate, loving care give to our mother during her illness.
