Faith Mission Outreach in downtown Russellville closed recently and is looking for a way to re-open.
FMO Director Matthew Mangino said he had no choice but to close the doors of the mission due to the lack of funding.
He has approached a church in Florence about helping the mission, which provides food and clothing for those in need throughout the county. The mission annually hosts a toy drive and Christmas banquet to provide food and gifts for children in the community.
If the Florence church chooses not to partner with the mission it will be forced to close permanently.
It would be a shame for this county to lose one of its most giving and caring groups because others failed to help.
Now is the time for Franklin County to step in and offer any help we can for FMO.
That's what they have done for others.
