Fireworks show could be new tradition
By Staff
The city of Russellville is set to host a fireworks show Saturday night at Sloss Lake.
It should be a good time for families and the community to come together and enjoy something that is such a big part of our country's holiday festivities.
The show will be the first of its kind in Russellville and officials hope its something that becomes a tradition.
It will give folks an option other than driving to Florence for the annual fireworks show at McFarland Park. But, if you want to go to that show, Saturday night's show in Russellville will not interfere.
The fireworks will begin about 9 p.m., but officials are encouraging spectators to arrive by 8: 30 p.m.
It should be a good time for local residents and hopefully the beginning of a new tradition.
Happy Fourth of July.
