Russellville will host the award winning gospel group, The Hoppers, next month in an effort to raise money for the Russellville High School Band Parents Association.
Director of Bands Gary McNutt said the concert, called A Night with the Hoppers, would be held July 11 at the RHS auditorium.
All the proceeds from the event will be used for transportation costs for the band's upcoming trip to New York and Philadelphia this November.
The Hoppers have enjoyed success through three decades and have been nominated for multiple awards, including Favorite Mixed Group Award, Mixed Vocal Group and Hearts a Flame Mixed Group award.
"We are blessed to have such a well-known group to visit our area," McNutt said.
Tickets for the concert are on sale now at the band room, Living Faith Bookstore in Muscle Shoals, LifeWay Christian Bookstore in Florence, Praise Corner in Haleyville, Norris Music in Winfield and Gospel Lighthouse in Decatur.
Tickets are $10 and $15 for the Artist Circle.
McNutt said the Artist Circle tickets could only be purchased at the band office.
