Summer sports registration underway

The Russellville Parks and Recreation Department has announced the city swimming pool is now open to the public.
The department is also now registering participants for swimming lessons and Tiny Tykes T-ball.
Swimming lessons will be held from June 2-12, June 16-26 and July 7-17. Each 45-minute session will be held at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. with classes from Monday through Thursday.
Cost per child is $25, $40 for two children and $60 for three. Participants must be four years old or older, and all classes will be taught by a certified water safety instructor.
T-ball registration for ages 3-5 years old will remain open through June 14, with late registration from June 16-21. The cost per player is $20 or $30 for two players, plus $5 for late registration, and the age control date is July 1.
All teams will participate in a picture day and jamboree Saturday, July 12.
