The Franklin County Nurse of the Year Award Ceremony will take place Tuesday, May 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the Cottage on North Jackson Ave.
If there is one profession that is truly selfless, a nurse is sure to be it.
The men and women work long hours to take care of people they barely even know. Under many cases, they could be working with people who have contagious diseases.
The Fourth Annual Nurse of the Year was chosen by a committee of community leaders including Joey Rushing, Franklin County District Attorney; Paula McDowell, District Court Judge; and Cheryl Bradford, Former Director of Franklin County Chamber of Commerce. All nominees will receive a certificate, and the winner will receive a plaque and $500.
The recognition is well deserved. We would like to thank all the nominees for their unwavering dedication to their fellow man. You are a very special group.
