Lula Taylor
May 11, 2008
Lula Genett Taylor, age 81, of Russellville, died Sunday, May 11, 2008. She was a member of North Highlands Church of Christ in Russellville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville with Bro. Keith Barnett officiating the service. Burial will be in the Franklin Memory Gardens in Russellville.
Ms. Taylor is survived by sons, Bill Taylor, Joe Taylor, Jimmy (Sandy) Taylor; daughters, Susan Slade, Barbara (Tim) Washington; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 35 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, Bruce and Ollie Mae Black; husband, Delma Taylor; sister, Margaret Black; and brothers, George W. Black and Thomas Black.
Pallbearers for the service will include Johnny Borden, Ronnie Jefferies, Bob Taylor, Marty McNatt, Donnie Horton, Charles Dill. Honorary pallbearers will include Jim Lumpkin.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Shoals, Dr. Kalliath and staff, Dr. Clark, Dr. Kelly, and Bro. Jim Lumpkin.
Opal E. Rickard

Opal Entrekin Rickard, 88, Madison, Alabama formerly of Russellville passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Crestwood Hospital in Huntsville.
Mrs. Rickard lived most of her life in Russellville, but for the past three years had made her home in Madison. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ and for the past three years worshipped with the Harvest Church of Christ.
The funeral will be Friday, May 16 at 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville with Johnny Richardson and Greg Tucker officiating.
Burial will follow in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Survivors include sons, Charles A. Rickard, Spruce Pine, John M. Rickard, Madison; sister, Artense Hester, Red Bay; brothers, Walter Entrekin, Jr. and Billy Wayne Entrekin, both of Russellville; five grandchildren; 12, great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
She was preceded in death by husband, Charlie G. Rickard.
Eddie Lawler

Eddie Orman Lawler, age 60, of Phil Campbell, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville with Bro. Jerry Pounders officiating. Burial was in the Lawler's Cemetery in Phil Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barnie and Zadie Lawler.
He is survived by wife, Wanda Kay Flippo Lawler; son, Jerett Thomas Lawler (Abbie) of Commerce, Ga., daughter, Shannon Denise Skidmore (Jason) of Russellville; grandson, Jesse Eli Skidmore of Russellville; brother, Linden Lawler (Linda) of Phil Campbell; sisters, Perry James of Birmingham and Sandra Lawler of Russellville.
Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.

L.E. Prince, age 68, of Russellville, died Thursday, May 15, 2008.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville with Bro. Larry Prince officiating.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Lula Sons; husband, Travis Prince; and sister, Mabel Whitehead.
She is survived by her brother, James Sons; sister, Louise Harrison; and 14 nieces and nephews.
Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
