Sheriff's deputies arrest 4, bust Vina meth lab

VINA – Four suspects were taken into custody after Franklin County Sheriff's Deputies found them at working methamphetamine lab in Vina Wednesday afternoon.
Franklin County Sheriff Larry Plott said investigators found a working meth lab on Highway 19 in Vina after receiving tips that one could possibly be located at the residence.
"Investigators found chemicals in vehicles in the yard, around the edge of the yard and in the basement," Plott said. "A working meth lab was also found at the residence."
Plott said investigators found about two grams of meth, three man-made gun silencers and two firearms in the residence after gaining entry into the home.
Melody Beth Phifer, 34, of 2501 State Line Road in Golden, Miss. was charged with possession of controlled substance, first-degree manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; Virginia Ann Taylor, 40, of 457 Barker Street in Vina, was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; Gina Nell Armstrong, 39, of 507 Seventh Street in Red Bay, was charged with first-degree manufacturing controlled substance, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and Cody Patrick Gray, 26, of 1562 Highway 19 South in Red Bay, was charged with first degree manufacturing of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All four subjects remain in the Franklin County Detention Center pending a $50,000 bond.
