Anyone up for a good conspiracy?

I've never been someone who's big on conspiracy theories.
I think Elvis is really dead and that Lee Harvey Oswald was not a CIA operative.
While I don't necessarily believe them, I find all these scenarios incredibly interesting.
I've seen almost every documentary on John F. Kennedy's assassination. I love a good Elvis sighting story and it's hard to beat a good Bigfoot special.
Bigfoot is probably one of my favorites. I in no way believe there is a large ape-like creature wandering the woods across the United States. I just don't see how it's possible that these things exist and only surface a few times per year, usually to the same people or the same groups.
With that said, I love it when Discover Channel comes out with a new Bigfoot documentary. The illogical side of me wants to see something while the practical side of me knows better
Like most of you, there's a little part of my brain that, regardless of how impractical it may be, always wonders "what if."
I know Elvis is dead, but what if he wasn't. What if one day, you woke up and saw that after spending 30 years in a Mexican prison, Elvis was on Larry King Live.
That's not going to happen, but what if.
Aliens and UFOs are my favorite "what ifs."
It doesn't seem very likely, but to think we are the only life forms in existence seems a little arrogant.
The whole scientific basis of outer space is almost unbelievable in itself. Our planet is held in space by a force that never changes and you can't see it. And it constantly rotates at about 1000 miles per hour but you don't notice.
The science and physics involved in explaining these processes is so complicated that almost anything seems possible.
Much like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster, there's no real evidence to support the existence of space aliens or UFOs.
Still, there is a part of me that likes to watch these shows hoping to see a glimpse of something that could spark doubt.
Most of what you see is shaky film footage and the occasional edited photograph that do more to discredit UFO existence than anything.
I seriously doubt they exist, but what if they did. Can you imagine the technology involved?
These things have supposedly been zipping through the solar system for nearly 100 years. We can't get a manned-space craft past the moon.
Can you imagine what kind of fuel these things must burn? Could it be an alternative to fossil fuels? Could it solve what appears to be a looming energy crisis?
Would the aliens be friendly? Would they tell us their secrets? Could they solve a lot of our day-to-day troubles?
Who knows.
Ever how unlikely they may be, the "what ifs" of this world make life a little more interesting.
