Tuesday Update: RPD investigating improper taser usage claim

A Russellville police officer has been put on administrative leave without pay after being accused of using a taser on an inmate.
Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said he couldn't comment on the internal investigation but did confirm the incident happened.
At the center of the allegations is city inmate Chad Gentry, who claims the officer tased him on the inside of his leg while he was doing laundry. He claims the incident was unprovoked.
