Jonathan Proctor was recently awarded Russellville Hospital's 2008 Mercy Award. This honor puts Proctor in the running for LifePoint Hospital's 2008 companywide Mercy Award, the highest honor an employee can receive from LifePoint Hospital Inc.
"I really enjoy what I do," Proctor said. "God has really blessed me."
Proctor has served as the Director of Diagnostic Services at Russellville Hospital since June 2006.
Belinda Johnson, Chief Nursing Officer at Russellville Hospital, said Proctor serves as an example to his co-workers.
"He is an inspiration to me and others with his compassion and merciful spirit," she said. "He has on several occasions made out of town trips to visit employee's family members during their personal crisis. Whether it's a patient, family member or a physician, he goes above and beyond the job to work with the individual to make sure their need is met."
The Mercy Award recognizes one employee who best represents the spirit and values on which the company was founded. The annual award was established in 2002 to honor the life of Scott Mercy, Lifepoint's founding Chairman and CEO.
"LifePoint Hospitals are committed to delivering quality patient care. We are extremely proud to recognize Jonathan Proctor for his efforts on behalf of our patients and our community," Christine Stewart, CEO of Russellville Hospital said.
"Jonathan's exemplary work and compassion sets a high standard for healthcare professionals. We are proud to have him as part of our employee family. Undoubtedly, our patients benefit from the kind of commitment to excellence and the humanitarian concerns he demonstrates each day."
