As we sat down for lunch yesterday we did so knowing the nurses, doctors and other personnel at Russellville Hospital are routinely going about their rounds. If needed, the emergency room will be ready to give aid. Nursing home workers will be providing services for their residents.
All day Tuesday, personnel at the 911 communication center here stood by their telephones ready to send help at a moment's notice. Others at drug stores and gasoline stations worked over the holiday for our convenience. Volunteer and paid firefighters throughout Franklin County also continued to be on call throughout the holidays.
Fireworks lit the way for our newspaper carrier force this morning who cut their parties short to bring you your newspaper.
