Phil Campbell boys beat Red Bay 50-46

Red Bay girls win, Belgreen splits with Waterloo

PHIL CAMPBELL – The Phil Campbell varsity boys fought off a fourth-quarter rally Tuesday night to beat Red Bay 50-46.
After Red Bay missed a game-tying shot, Tanner Maddox sealed the Class 2A, Area 16 win for the Bobcats with two free throws.
Phil Campbell's Caleb Thompson scored a team-high 13 points, while Maddox had nine and Tate Candia added eight, including two timely 3-pointers.
Derrick Miller finished with a game-high 16 points, while Justin Page had 14.

Despite a season-high 32 points from Chasity Morgan, the Red Bay varsity girls picked up their eighth victory by beating Phil Campbell 75-58 Tuesday night.
Chelsey McWilliams had a team-high 19 points, while Brittany Scott and Morgan Duncan scored 15 apiece for the Lady Tigers (8-2, 2-0), who built a 46-22 halftime lead.
Belgreen 57
Waterloo 31
BELGREEN – The Belgreen varsity girls earned their third Class 1A, Area 16 victory with a 57-31 win over Waterloo Tuesday night.
Deborah Billingham led the Lady Bulldogs with 16 points, while Martha Billingham had 10.
Belgreen (7-4, 3-0) led 29-18 at halftime and held the Lady Cougars to only 13 points combined in the second half,

Belgreen 46
Waterloo's Cory Stevenson scored 27 points, including 15-of-18 from the free throw line, as the Cougars (3-6) beat Belgreen 62-46.
Kyle Warren had a season-high 16 points for Belgreen (3-6), and Cody Welch added 10.
