Ruby Maxine King, 88, of Russellville passed away November 25 at Terrace Manor Nursing Home.
She lived most of her life in Franklin County and was a member of the New Friendship Baptist Church in Belgreen. Her parents were A.E. and Pearl Bragwell.
The funeral was held Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Andy Cansler officiating. Burial followed in New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Augusta Brown, of Phil Campbell, Billy Brown of Memphis, Stanley Kent, of Germantown, Tenn., Jane Biliani, of Germantown, Grace Dye, of South Haven, Miss.; brother, Neal Bragwell, of Tuscumbia; sisters, Eva Weimer, of Russellville and Willodean Borum, of Russellville; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ray Crum

Ray Crum, 57, of Belmont, Miss., passed away Nov. 20 at his home.
He was born Dec. 19, 1949 in Tishomingo County, Miss. to Raymond and Tommie Rogers Crum. He was self-employed for 15 years and was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Bay Springs Lodge No. 167. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Elizabeth Crum.
Funeral services were held Nov. 21 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with Bro. H. Akins officiating. Burial followed in New Bethel Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Marty Crum, of Belmont; daughter, Kela Crum Nix (Billy), of Phil Campbell; a special grandson, Gunner Hargett, of Phil Campbell; mother, Tommie Crum, of Belmont; sister, Jane Johnston (Billy), of Red Bay; two nieces, Lori Hardin (Todd) and Lindsey Johnston, all of Red Bay; one nephew, Hugh Johnston (Kacy) of Red Bay and two great-nieces.
Pallbearers Harold Rogers, Willie Smith, Bob Yarber, Donald Reno, Jimmy Tate and Woody Edwards.
Evelyn Dora Lawson

Evelyn Dora Lawson, 84, of Russellville, passed away Friday Nov. 23.
Funeral services were held at Spry Memorial Chapel Nov. 25 with Bro. Brian Scott officiating. Burial followed in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lawson; daughter, Sue Lawson; grandson, Jimmy Dale Lawson; parents, Earley and Bell Zills Cummings; brothers, Earl and James Cummings; sisters, Lorene Lawson and Gladys Ward.
She is survived by sons, Earl Lawson and wife, Connie, of Russellville, Jimmy Lawson and wife, Patty, of Trussville; daughters, Angie Harris, of Russellville, Sandra Cagle and husband, Larry, of Bear Creek; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; special nieces, Debbie Mayfield, Melissa Green, Faye Baker and a host of other nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Russellville Church of God. A special thanks to Dr. Keith Morrow, Good Samaritan Hospice, the staff at Russellville Hospital and Terrace Manor Nursing Home for the kindness and care given to our mother.
Willie Mae Smith

Willie Mae Smith, 83, of Russellville, died Nov. 23 at Russellville Hospital.
Mr. Smith was a native of Franklin County and a member of West Highland Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Nov. 25 at 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with burial following in Franklin Memory Gardens. Jeff Davis officiated.
Survivors include Betty (Roger, Sr.) Bedford, of Gulf Shores, James Melvin (Brenda) Hall, of Tuscumbia, Larry Wayne Hall, of Russellville, Jerry Herman (Syble) Hall, of Tuscumbia; step-son, Rick (Linda) Hall, of Muscle Shoals; sisters, Mildred Scott, of Tupelo, Sue Snow, of Arkansas, Faye Eddy, of Littleville, Ann Monroe, of Russellville, Rose Tschida, of Tunica; brother, Jack Watson, of Muskogee, Okla.; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; one-great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Herman M. Hall and Robert H. Smith; son, Terry ray Hall; grandson, Brian Christopher Hall, step-daughter, Wetha Hall McMurry.
