Russellville 10-11 All-Stars win district

The Russellville 10-11 All-Stars beat the Phil Campbell All-Stars 10-3 last Sunday at the Lee Complex to win the District 6 championship.
Russellville's Luke Harris was the winning pitcher, while Boo Boo Mercer took the loss for Phil Campbell.
Aaron Fisher and Cainen Fleming each went 2-for-4 for Russellville, and Trevor Malone earned the save.
Russellville earned a first-round bye and defeated Phil Campbell 9-5 to advance to the finals.
Fisher was the winning pitcher, and Malone earned the save.
Fisher went 1-for-3 (two runs); Isaac Fleming went 1-for-2 (two runs); Jesse Vincent went 1-for-3; Cainen Fleming went 1-for-3; and Harris scored twice.
Russellville, managed by Terry Childers and coached by Jeff Fleming and Randy Bolton, advanced to the state tournament, which is a six-team, double-elimination tournament in Jackson.
The tournament is scheduled to begin Saturday, July 14, but the bracket hasn't been announced.
