Audrey Wilton McKinney

Audrey Wilton McKinney, 94, of Red Bay, passed away July 5, 2007. Funeral services are today at 2 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay. Bro. Dan Hindman officiated. Interment followed in Burnout Cemetery.
She was born January 28, 1913 in Franklin County to Porter and Elzadie Bonds Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of Burnout Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband L.B. McKinney; her parents; daughter-in-law Lois McKinney; two sisters, Beulah Rea and Connie Pierce; three brothers, Trannie Johnson, Reggin Johnson and Cohen Johnson.
Survivors include one son, Leon McKinney; two grandchildren, Buddy McKinney and wife Carla of Red Bay, and Jan Williams and husband Kevin of Olive Branch, Mississippi; three great-grandchildren, Hollie Mae McKinney and Haley McKinney, both of Red Bay, and Mary Kate Williams of Olive Branch; and a sister, Ione Hardin of Vina.
Pallbearers will be Eucellis Underwood, Benford Pierce, Homer Petree, Kevin Williams, Buddy McKinney and Phillip Underwood.
Hubert Hosley Black

Hubert Hosley Black, 74, of Tuscumbia, passed away at his home surrounded by loving family after an extended illness on Monday, July 2, 2007.
He is survived by his wife of 51 year, Patsy Skidmore Black; sons, Jeff Black (Rhonda), Chris Black (Paige); daughters, Lorrie Nichols (Scottie), Jennifer Peoples (Jackie); brother, Roger Black (Jane); sisters, Sue Brewer (Jerry), Shellie Hellums (Ricky); grandchildren, Bethanie and Baylie Nichols, Landon and Logan Black, Drake, Carson, Gage and Griffin Peoples and one future granddaughter; and three nieces.
The family extends its gratitude to Dr. Jerry Williams and Dr. Joshua Vacik and AlaCare Hospice employees, Sandy, Brenda, Sheila and Dena, with special thanks to Kim Tigner for her care and friendship to our family. Our "Paw" looked forward to her visits throughout his illness; her care was above and beyond her duties and she will always be remembered affectionately.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Bro. Scott Richardson, Bro. Jackie Richardson, Bro. Johnny Richardson and Bro. Harold Young will officiate. Interment was in Piney Grove Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by parents, Archie and Alma Taylor Black. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Piney Grove Church of Christ, and a retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major Korean veteran of the 20th Special Forces Battalion. He was retired from Reynolds Alloys Company. He volunteered many hours at Rustic Youth Camp, and helped build many churches all over the U.S.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rustic Youth Camp.

Louis W. Ellis, of Russellville, passed away July 3, 2007.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Akins Funeral Home. Bro. Jerry Boyles officiated. Interment followed at Cedar Tree Cemetery in Hackleburg.
He was a member of Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
He was survived by two sons, Sonny Quinn and wife Ann, and Danny and Diane Quinn, of Hackleburg; and two daughters, Shirley Burleson of Muscle Shoals, and Karen Senkbeil and her husband, Bobby of Hackleburg; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special granddaughter, Kim Quinn Gaisser.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 15 years, Agnes Quinn Ellis; and his parents, Freeman and Sarah Ellis.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, Jackie, Tommy, Bobby Nix and Mike Nix.
A special thanks goes to the Hospice of North Alabama, Lawrence Place Assisted Living, Cicki Kennedy, Ray's Pharmacy of Hackleburg and special granddaughter, Kim Quinn Gaisser.
