Russellville BOE accepts resignations

The Russellville Board of Education focused on personnel issues for the upcoming school year during their regular board meeting held yesterday afternoon.
The board accepted the following resignations: Rebecca Pride, Phil Phillips, Jill Philiips, Amber Vaughn, and Steven Kirby. The board also accepted the letter of retirement for Howard Daniel, drafting teacher with 30 years of service.
The board voted to hire the following teachers for the upcoming school year: Claudia Askew, assistant principal for RES; Melody Fergerson, Paul Czervionke, Mark Andrews, Angela Funderburk, Jarrod Helms, Brittney Elliott, and John Wayne Harris.
The board also voted to employ Gary McNutt as RHS Band Director. Former Band Director George Crummie took over as the school's choral director.
