Governor Riley Appoints Barry L. Moore as Franklin County Probate Judge
MONTGOMERY-On Wednesday Governor Bob Riley appointed Barry L. Moore, of Russellville, as Franklin County Probate Judge. Moore is filling the vacancy caused by the death of Mike Green.
"I am pleased to appoint Barry Moore as Probate Judge of Franklin County. He brings with him a wealth of experience and military service," said Governor Riley. "I am confident that he will serve the people of Franklin County with honor and dignity."
Moore is currently employed as the office manager at HART Machine Tool, Inc. in Muscle Shoals. He also serves as a Sergeant First Class in the National Guard, and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2003-2005.
He is a 1990 graduate of the University of North Alabama, and a 1984 graduate of Russellville High School. He is a member of the Franklin County Veterans of Foreign Affairs.
The appointment is effective immediately.
