Red Bay dominates Mars Hill by eleven

The Red Bay Tigers dominated the Mars Hill Panthers in the second round of the Area 16 Fast-pitch Softball Tournament yesterday, defeating them in 5 innings 12-1.
The game was scoreless until the second inning until a bunt by Ashley Hardin drove in Ashley Frame to bring the Tigers ahead 1-0.
Ashley Frame struck again for the Tigers in the third as her double drove in both Holly Hammock and Kirsten Sharp to bring the Tigers ahead 3-0. Britney Scott also scored for the Tigers on a drop by Mars Hill.
Red Bay posted six more on the board to bring the score to 9-0 at the bottom of the 3rd.
Mars Hill scored their one and only run late in the third to bring to score to 9-1. Red Bay came out swinging once again in the 4th as a double by Ashley Frame drove in Britney Scott to bring the Tigers ahead by 9. Runs by Sierra Hubbard and Jessie Barksdale brought the score to 12-1.
The mercy rule kicked in at the bottom of the 5th as Mars Hill was unable to post any more on the board. Red Bay moved on to face Phil Campbell in the fourth game of the tournament.
Whitney Sharp was the winning pitcher for the Tigers, pitching 4 out of 5 innings.
